File Name: KISS (Stern 2015)

File Submitter: allknowing2012

File Submitted: 04 Mar 2022

File Category: VPX Recreations

Author(s): allknowing2012
JPSalas
Manufacturer: Stern
Year: 2015
Permission to MOD?: Yes, without approval

This is a reupload, warts and all, of the Stern Kiss table I originally released back in 2016. Included is the music directory along with the ultradmd file.

I have included my directb2s but there is an updated one from another available if you wish.

The script is a best efforts at duplicating the Stern ruleset. Note that there is no rom or rom emulation for these "newer" Stern tables.

It is my understanding that I CAN now post this to vpforums. If that is not the case, let me know and I will remove this.

Big thanks to JPSalas for providing the bones to this table with his table release.

I didn't download and inspect. You're a trusted member, so I saw no need.

Did you include music tracks? If so, we'd prefer not hosting mp3's. We ask that any music be listed in the table description and uploaded elsewhere, if necessary, and linked. Most folks will already have the music files, or know where to get them. The Virtual Pinball Forums (16)

    Thank you!

They are not song album rip mp3 files, they are music mp3, but rom based extracts.. You're call..

ROM-based extracts are fine. Album mp3's are just begging for trouble.

Thanks, man! Looking forward to seeing what you did with it! The Virtual Pinball Forums (44)

FlexDMD won't run and I just now hit my breaking point of having to mess with extra programs just to run some tables.

I am just going to stick with tables that will just run with VPX and PinMAME.

I used to feel that way, but if you don't explore, you never make a gain. Adding FlexDMD and Pinup Player and Freezy's External DMD have revolutionised my cabinet. I was so worried it would break something, but it doesn't.....

For some reason, the backglass doesn't show up on my single screen desktop. I made sure both the table and b2s were named the same and I re-registered the b2s server, but no luck. Any ideas? (Btw, I'm still new to this) Everything else works fine though.

There is no image that goes behind the desktop version of the table. I think I did this before that was very common. If you want just update an image and place that in the background. As it is now, desktop starts the backglass but for you it is likely on another screen or behind the table.

For some reason, the backglass doesn't show up on my single screen desktop. I made sure both the table and b2s were named the same and I re-registered the b2s server, but no luck. Any ideas? (Btw, I'm still new to this) Everything else works fine though.

If you have a single screen and you are running VPX in full screen size, even if not in exclusive mode

the backglass is going to go behind the table most likely, as soon as the table comes into focus

If you are playing on a single screen you may want to consider doing this

                                    Hi!

                                    same problem here about DMD.

The only way to get aDMDfor this table is settingVirtualDMD= Truebut then I can't quit the table pressing Q.... The only way to exit is Alt-Grand-Delete. I don't know why when Virtual DMD is enabled the menu doesn't show as usual.

Checked FlexDMD install and its ok, it works fine with another tables.

I'm runningVisual Pinball 10.7.0, latest stable version.

                                    Thanks for your time!!!!

There is no image that goes behind the desktop version of the table. I think I did this before that was very common. If you want just update an image and place that in the background. As it is now, desktop starts the backglass but for you it is likely on another screen or behind the table.

Yep, it's going behind the table.

I'd love to have the backglass next to the table, unfortunately, I can't figure out how to do that. And yes, I'm running full screen mode. I tried the windowed full screen as well, but no luck there either.

                                        take this
put the screenres.txt in your tables folder
double click the reg file and allow it to import
since your screen is 1080p these settings should work for you
